The NSD Powerball Model Range

The splendid sphere is available in several different model versions depending on your budget and performance requirements. These maybe categorised as follows:

NEON NSD POWERBALL

Neon Blue Pro [order]

Neon Green Pro [order]

Neon Red Pro [order]

(Please click on images above to open a larger version)

Neon NSD Powerballs use the same precision balanced rotor as found in the 250Hz models but have the added feature of 6 high intensity LED's (built into that rotor) which glow brightly once the NSD Powerball is spinning.

There are no batteries in the Neon NSD Powerball (other than two tiny 'watch' batteries which power the counter with an approximate 3 year lifespan) - that surreal glow which engulfs your hand during use is generated by a small induction coil present in the rotor - the faster you spin, the brighter it glows!

Neon Green Pro in action!

Apart from the Blue/Green/Red colour variation, Neon NSD Powerball is available with or without a 6 function digital speedmeter/counter - this counter comes as standard on all Neon Pro models and can be added at a later stage to the Neon Regular models which are identical in function and appearance to the 'Pro' units apart for a removable [hard] plastic cap which sits in the area where the counter is normally positioned.

250HZ NSD POWERBALL

250Hz Pro Amber/Orange [order]

250Hz Pro Blue
[order]

250Hz Regular Amber
[order]

(Please click on images above to open a larger version)

250Hz NSD Powerballs are the still the fastest models in the range (though with speeds in excess of 15350rpm already being recorded on the latest Neon models compared to the current 15575rpm record on the 250Hz model - there isn't much between them any more!)

Available in either Amber/Orange or Blue, the 250Hz NSD Powerball is available with or without a 6 function digital speedmeter/counter - like the Neon models, this counter comes as standard on all 250Hz Pro models and can be added at a later stage to the 250Hz Regular models which are identical in function and appearance to the 'Pro' units except for a removable [hard] plastic cap as illustrated in the images above.

TECHNO NSD POWERBALL

Techno [order]

Techno NSD Powerball is the very latest addition to the exciting family of NSD Powerball products!

This innovative gyroscope scrolls your achieved score 'magically' across the surface of the rotor (as opposed to displaying it instantly on a digital speed meter as with the other models in the range).

The rotor also displays an entrancing collection of 'firelines' as it spins, ranging from red to blue in colour and giving an a truly amazing effect depending on the speed at which it is revolving.

350Hz NSD Powerball Metal

At almost twice the weight of the Neon or 250Hz models, the 350Hz Metal exerts an extraordinary force on the arm and wrist and will test even the fittest player.

(Imagine getting the head of a sledgehammer and spinning it in your hand at a modest 5000rpm..you'll quickly get the idea of what we are talking about here!)

Initial 350Hz Metal NSD Powerballs will be shipped with a silent running but very high density metal composite rotor (such is its mass, even Akis has struggled to exceed 12k) - a lower density but fully blown 'screamer' rotor will ship soon after and promises potential speeds in excess of 20k (with the sounds to match!) and some serious NSD Powerball action in the Top100 board!

We have no confirmed date for availability regarding the Lightweight rotors at present. However if you would like to be informed of any news regarding availability, please send a blank email message to metals@powerballs.com. Just as soon as we have any further updates, we'll be sure to get in touch!
